Renovation Plans
Swift is now planning an extensive remodel of the seaside estate. Building documents obtained by Us Weekly on January 14 detail the singer’s plans. She aims to expand the property by 400 square feet. These plans include transforming one of the mansion’s existing bedrooms into a spacious “enlarged bedroom suite.” It will be luxurious and finished with a lounge area.
The renovations, estimated to cost $1.7 million, show Swift’s ongoing wish to make the mansion a more comfortable and personal retreat.
Construction dates are still unclear. Building documents were filed on November 25, 2024, and December 4, 2024. These documents have an expiration date of December 4, 2025. Local contractors, led by David W. Shafovaloff of Hope Valley, will oversee the work. Shafovaloff is known as a “high-end builder” specializing in Rhode Island’s southern coast.
